Course update:
The preparation for Monday’s return is going well, recent photos on the Club’s Facebook page show plenty of colour on the greens and fairways.
Trollies and buggies allowed, and the range will be open for you to get that practice in.
Kevin Pickett and staff look forward to welcoming you back to Bishopswood.
Club Website:
Since the introduction of the World Handicapping System (WHS) certain items on our website such as members handicaps are not able to be updated. Our software supplier Club Systems has informed us that the templates we use are no longer supported, as they have released a new website model.
The Club has viewed the new website model, but this does not satisfy our requirements, so it is being built on another platform. However, by changing our website, the secure members area will be the Club V1 Members Hub (all members – see below) and HowDidIDo (members with handicaps additionally – see below).
These changes will also provide us with the opportunity to amalgamate the Course and Club websites.
In preparation of the change, the Club Committee would like all members to register for the Club V1 members app now. The app can be obtained from the App store (Apple) and Play store (android). It can also be added to a laptop via the following URL: https://default.hub.clubv1.com
By registering on the Club V1 members hub, other facilities become available, such as entry into competitions including knockouts. You will also be able to do this via the PSI terminal in the bar, which will be in use once lockdown restrictions enable.
Automatic charging will be in place when entering competitions included the two sweep which is shown as a separate charge. Members will, however, still be able to enter by emailing the Club Secretary.
In addition to entering events, members will also be able to key in their scores via these services.
Entries for the following knockouts are available now: –
Tadley Cup, Stalwarts 4 Ball Better Ball, Seniors Isabella Quaich, Seniors Open, and Seniors 4 Ball Better Ball.
Closing date for entries 31st March.
Medals and other competitions: – these can be booked using HowDidIDo or Members Hub.
Stableford on Saturday 17th April, sign up available from 27th March until 10th April.
Seniors Medal on Monday 19th April, sign up available from 27th March until 12th April.
Mid-Month medal on Wednesday 21st April, sign up available from 27th March until 14th April.
A member without a handicap index will not be able to access the main HowDidIDo website/app.
https://howdidido.com Only members with a handicap index can register or log onto this website.
A member without a handicap index will be able to access the Club V1 Members Hub app, by registering a HowDidIDo Passport account at the following web address: – https://passport.howdidido.com which does not require a link to a handicap record/index.
The Club committee requests that all members action the above as soon as possible to maximise your accessibility to information and services from Bishopswood Golf Club.
Please contact the Club Secretary if you require assistance.
